Z. Smith Reynolds Supports
Love Lived on Death Row
Outreach Project
Funding will support screenings
of documentary to promote dialogue on healing from domestic
violence, restorative justice and capital punishment.
The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation
recently awarded a grant to the Southern Documentary Fund
(SDF) in support of a community outreach screening tour of
Love Lived on Death Row, a documentary produced and directed
by filmmaker Linda Booker. More....(PDF)
OLF Project
By the Brook Films is beginning
development on a documentary project tentatively titled "Flight
Fight" about the proposed Navy Outlying Landing Field
(OLF) site in northeastern North Carolina. Producer Linda
Booker and Linda Tompkins spent time in Hyde county this March
filming interviews with Navy personnel and local residents
opposed to the OLF. The site is in close proximity to a wildlife
refuge for migrating and nesting swans, geese and other birds
species that numerous experts, politicians and residents fear
will result in collisions with the Navy's Super Hornets. For
